2010 Hot Shots Summerfest Tour Comes to an End

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators
This summer the kids of the Middle Tennessee community had no worries, no player drafts, no salary contracts adjusted, and no trades, just fun and excitement from participating in the Annual Nashville Predators Hot Shots Summerfest Tour. Over the past two months, the Nashville Predators Amateur Hockey Development Staff have been reaching out to the community by offering free street hockey clinics to over 20 local summer camps.

As the Summerfest Tour closes, the final two stops were at the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Center on July 20, and at the Gordon Jewish Community Center on July 21.

It was a fun-filled summer for staff and many kids had a great time experiencing hockey through the educational, fun clinics. The Hot Shots Summerfest Tour will continue next summer and will hopefully visit a camp near you!

The Hot Shots Summerfest Tour is a free interactive hockey clinic that travels around in the off-season to local youth camps between May and August. The clinics focus on the basic fundamentals of hockey including stick handling, shooting and teamwork. The Nashville Predators supply all the necessary equipment as provided by the NHL Street initiative, demonstrating that all a child needs to play hockey is a pair of sneakers!
