A second-round pick (No. 32) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2004 NHL Draft, Bolland was a key contributor in the postseason when the team won Stanley Cup championships in 2009-10 and 2012-13.
During the first championship season, Bolland had six goals and 16 points in 39 regular-season games, but eight goals and 16 points in 22 postseason games. In 2012-13, Bolland scored seven goals and 14 points in 35 games in the regular season and three goals and six points in 18 postseason games.

During his six-plus seasons in Chicago, Bolland had 70 goals and 168 points in 332 games, and fans will always remember Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2012-13, when Boland scored with 59 seconds remaining to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 victory against the Boston Bruins and clinch the Cup.
That goal proved to be Bolland's final act with Chicago. Six days later, during the 2013 NHL Draft, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for three draft picks.
Bolland spent the 2013-14 season with the Maple Leafs before signing a free-agent contract with the Florida Panthers in 2014.
The 6-foot, 184-pound center was an exceptional scorer with London of the Ontario Hockey League. In four seasons, Bolland scored 135 goals and 299 points in 254 games and led London to the 2005 Memorial Cup championship.
A native of Mimico, Ontario, Bolland is nicknamed "The Rat" for his ability to rattle and unnerve opponents.
