by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forwards Scott Wilson and Bryan Rust to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Wilson played his first NHL game of the 2015-16 season with the Penguins in Monday's 5-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He earned his first NHL point when he set up Phil Kessel's first goal of the game.

The Penguins are off until Dec. 26 for the holiday break. Pittsburgh visits the Minnesota Wild that night at 8 p.m. You can watch that game on ROOT SPORTS locally or listen on the team's official radio flagship, 105.9 The X.
