WBS Penguins Release Clear Day Roster

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have set their roster for the American Hockey League’s Clear Day period, it was announced on Tuesday.

According to AHL by-laws, only those 22 players (20 skaters and two goaltenders) listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining five weeks of the 2010-11 AHL regular season and in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.  Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.
The 2011 Penguins Clear Day Roster is as follows:
GOALTENDERS:  John Curry and Brad Thiessen
DEFENSEMEN:  Robert Bortuzzo, Andrew Hutchinson, Joey Mormina, Corey Potter, Carl Sneep, Brian Strait, Steve Wagner
FORWARDS:  Jesse Boulerice, Chris Collins, Ryan Craig, Dustin Jeffrey, Bryan Lerg, Nick Petersen, Zach Sill, Brett Sterling, Ben Street, Keven Veilleux, Joe Vitale, Geoff Walker, Tim Wallace
IN RESIDENCE:  Jason DeSantis, David Marshall
