Penguins fans will have the chance to skate with popular Pens alumni Mark Recchi, Bryan Trottier, Jay Caufield, Troy Loney and others at “Skate With The Greats” Monday, Dec. 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Penguins Pond at SouthSide Works.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Penguins Alumni Charities, including breast cancer awareness.
500 tickets, priced at $20 each, are available for “Skate With The Greats,” and they will go on sale tonight at 6 p.m.
400 tickets will be sold by Pens alumni members at CONSOL Energy Center before the Penguins’ game with Boston. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. game.

In addition to Recchi, Trottier, Caufield and Loney, other Pens alumni taking part will be Peter Taglianetti, Randy Hillier, Ken Wregget, Pierre Larouche, Kim Clackson, George Ferguson, Dave Hannan, Eddie Johnston, Alain Lemieux, Francois Leroux, Jack Riley, Duane Rupp and Warren Young.
Wives of the Penguins Alumni also will be participating in the fundraising effort by hosting a bake sale of snacks and treats on Dec. 19.
Penguins Pond at SouthSide Works, presented by Highmark, is located at the intersection of 26th and Sidney Streets in the SouthSide Works complex.
