Summer Hockey School at CONSOL Energy Center, August 19-23

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

Penguins Hockey Development is very pleased to announce that we are able to host our Summer Hockey School at CONSOL Energy Center, August 19-23. Originally the camp was going to be held at RMU Island Sports Center, but with ice available at CONSOL, the opportunity for camp participants to skate on "Penguins ice" was too great to pass up!

Mite age players will be on the ice from 1:00 pm - 3:30. Squirt players will have their sessions from 3:30 pm to 6:00. Pee Wee and Bantam-Midget participants will have the ice from 6:00 pm to 8:30.

Two-time Stanley Cup champion, Phil Bourque will be the head instructor for skills and Penguins Skating Consultant, Marianne Watkins will teach the power skating sessions each day. Former Penguins goaltender, Brent Johnson, will instruct the goalies. Scrimmaging will conclude each age group's on ice sessions.

There are still a few openings for each age group (including goaltenders) for those who have not yet registered. Click here to register online.
