The Pittsburgh Penguins’ popular “Student Rush” ticket program returns for another season when the Pens host the New Jersey Devils in their home opener Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center.
The American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush program will again offer 200 discounted tickets for each game to local college and high school students.
Tickets are $25 and will be pre-sold online. They may be picked up at the American Eagle Box Office when gates open with a valid student ID. For more information on the American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush program, visit www.pittsburghpenguins.com/studentrush.
On five special nights, however, including Tuesday, Oct. 15 vs. Edmonton, the Penguins will expand the Student Rush program and reserve more than 500 tickets for students. That will create the traditional Student Rush line along Fifth Avenue, next to CONSOL Energy Center. Tickets on those nights will be purchased at the American Eagle Outfitters Box Office.
Other expanded nights for Student Rush include Nov. 18 vs. Anaheim, Feb. 3 vs. Ottawa, March 18 vs. Dallas and April 1 vs. Carolina.
“College and high school students are among our most loyal and passionate fans, and they represent the future of Penguins hockey,” said David Peart, the Penguins’ Senior VP of Sales and Service. “The American Eagle Outfitters Student Rush program enables us to give them a chance to experience Penguins hockey at a discounted price. Even though we are in a sellout situation – with 286 straight sellouts – we believe it is very important to continue to build this connection with the young people of our region.”
