Staal Has Lacerated Tendon in Foot; No Time Frame for Return
by Sam Kasan / Pittsburgh PenguinsPenguins head coach Dan Bylsma updated the media on the condition of center Jordan Staal, who left Game 1 against the Montreal Canadiens with an injury and did not return.
According to Bylsma, Staal had "a procedure to repair a lacerated tendon in his foot."
Staal was not ruled out for the semifinal series, but Bylsma would not put on time table on his condition.
"As far as a time frame goes we will not put a time frame on it at this point," Bylsma said. "But he has not been ruled out for a return."
