The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Tom Sestito to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Sestito and the WBS Penguins will wrap up their 2015-16 AHL regular-season slate on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. with a visit to the Hershey Bears.

Later this week, the WBS Penguins will participate in the AHL playoffs for the 14th-consecutive season, the longest active streak in the AHL.

The NHL Penguins have a day off on Sunday before returning to practice on Monday morning. Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers all are squared at 1-1 in their best-of-seven series heading into Game 3 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Tuesday’s game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and it can be watched locally on ROOT SPORTS, or it can be heard on the Penguins’ official flagship station, 105.9 The X.
