Martin flips a puck to Kunitz, who's alone in front of the goal. He catches it, puts it on his blade and tries sending a pass to Neal, who can't corral it.4:29:
Dupuis fires a blast at Brodeur, who lets a long rebound go right to a crashing Kunitz...who isn't able to get a handle on it! He would have had a wide-open net if he wasn't swarmed by defenders!8:37:

With five seconds left on the PP, Kovalchuk gets a mini breakaway that Fleury stops him on. He turns aside the rebound chance, as well.11:21:
Henrique breaks behind the Pens D and goes in on a shorthanded breakaway. It appears that Fleury saves it, but he isn't able to cover it all the way before Henrique grabs the loose puck and tickles the twine with it. We thought the ref whistled the play dead, but after a quick review it's determined a good goal. PENS 1, DEVILS 112:09:

It's the Pens' turn for a big shift of their own. The Kunitz-Malkin-Dupuis line just barraged the net hard, making Brodeur and his teammates scramble to keep the puck out.14:31:

- Engelland's four shots on goal are a new career high for the Pens D-man
- There were no penalties called for either side in that period

Pens find the back of the net as a result of a pretty cycling play! Kunitz dished to Neal behind the net, who passed it down to Paul Martin
on the point. He fed Malkin at the top of the circles, who went down on one knee to absolutely blast a scorcher past Brodeur. PENS 1, DEVILS 016:09:
Fleury goes to clear the puck behind his own net and it's intercepted, but Pens are able to clear and gain the Devils zone...and stay there.18:06:
Kovalchuk barrels into Fleury, knocking the Pens netminder on his back, and the Pens don't like it. A small ruckus ensues and the refs stop play to get it all cleared up. 20:00:

Good evening everyone! Tonight marks the conclusion of back-to-back home games against a pair of division rivals for the Pens, as they fell to the NY Rangers here at CONSOL Energy Center last night and will host New Jersey in short order. The two teams are tied with 46 points, so this game is crucial for the Pens – who rank sixth in the Eastern Conference while New Jersey ranks seventh.
