0:00: Horn sounds and this one is over. New Jersey gets the win.

0:49: Parise scores an empty-netter. DEVILS 3, PENS 1

1:12: The Pens pull Fleury and have the extra attacker.

4:08: Cooke has a great chance from atop the crease. His quick snap shot is stopped by Brodeur.

6:04: Fleury with a ridiculous save on Elias to keep it a one-goal game. If the Pens tie this up, remember that save.

10:35: GOAL!!!!! Kunitz finds a missed shot off the backboards and buries a shot for the PP score!! DEVILS 2, PENS 1

10:52: Sullivan gets off a good shot off the rush. Brodeur has the puck between the pads. The Devils call a timeout.

11:58: Malkin with some fancy stick work to create a scoring chance and draw a penalty. Pens will go back on the PP.

13:00: The Penalty expires and we're back to 5-on-5.

INJURY UPDATE: Dupuis will not return. Asham with a lower-body injury and questionable return.

15:01: Engelland draws a penalty after schooling Carter with some NHL defense. Pens go to the PK.

16:20: The Pens kill the penalty. Great work by Orpik to box out with a loose puck in the slot. Michalek is able to retrieve it and get out of danger.

18:22: Cooke gets called for a penalty and the Pens will be shorthanded. Another crucial PK.

20:00: Puck drops. Game on. Third period underway.

- Pens outshot the Devils 12-5 in the second period
- Staal is 7-2 in the faceoff dot (78%)
- Kovalchuk has 1G-1A and 4 shots

0:00: We're through 40 minutes in Jersey with the Devils still leading 2-0.

1:55: Malkin with a beautiful re-direct pass to a streaking Neal entering the Devils zone. Neal gets off a slapper, but Brodeur again makes the save.

6:42: The Pens are starting to carry the play here, pretty successful in attacking the offensive zone. Kunitz and Staal some good scoring chances. The momentum is shifting in Pittsburgh's favor. Now they have to capitalize.

8:02: Kennedy gets a breakaway after a collision by the benches. Brodeur stops him and then makes a save on Cooke on a follow-up opportunity.

9:06: Asham is hobbled after blocking a shot in the knee. He heads to the locker room.

INJURY UPDATE: Pascal Dupuis is out with an upper-body injury and is questionable to return.

10:10: The power play expires and both teams will have 5 skaters aside.

12:20: Neal is knocked over while striding to the net. The Pens will get a power play as Clarkson goes for hooking.

14:54: Staal uses his body and long strides to get around a Devils defender and in on goal, but Brodeur pokes the puck away. Great work by Staal, who seemed to be moving in slow motion and the play to create a chance.

15:33: Niskanen is getting called for hooking and Pittsburgh will be shorthanded again. Big PK here. Don't want to be down by 3.

16:20: Pens short one man on the bench. Dupuis is missing. We hope to get an update for you soon on his status.

16:59: Kennedy gets off a quick shot that Brodeur stops with his face. #FacePalm

18:02: Penalties are over. Pens are back to full staff of players.

19:35: Staal is out of the box and the Pens now only have to kill off a one-man disadvantage.

20:00: Puck drops. Game on. Second period underway. Pens start with 22 seconds of a 5-on-3 and then a one-man disadvantage.

- Malkin has 4 of the Pens 9 shots
- Orpik leads in ice time with 8:22
- Kovalchuk & Elias have 3 shots each

0:00: The first period ends with the Devils leading the Pens 2-0 with a penalty shot and power-play goal. Jersey will still have 22 seconds of a 5-on-3 to open the second period.

0:23: The Devils strike on the 5-on-3. Elias' shot hit the post, goes off Fleury's back and then Clarkson slams it home. DEVILS 2, PENS 0

1:38: Staal is going to the box for slashing. The Devils will now have a 5-on-3 and the Pens best PK forward is in the box.

2:03: Penalty coming on Pittsburgh. Asham gets 4 minutes for high sticking 2 minutes for high sticking and 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct. Devils go on the PP.

2:27: Neal gets a shot off coming down the far side. Then Malkin gets two big chances, but Brodeur all all over the place making saves. The power play expires.

3:51: Parise gets a shorthanded breakaway, but Fleury with an aggressive poke check gets the puck out of danger. Dupuis then levels Parise in the corner.

4:27: The Pens are going to get a power play as Zubrus is called for elbowing.

5:03: Zubrus had the puck all alone atop the crease with time, but his shot goes wide.

5:09: AMAZING SAVE BY FLEURY. Elias with a quick snap shot from the circles that Fleury gets low to stop. Big save for No. 29.

5:17: Kovalchuk takes the penalty shot. He dekes and goes five-hole on Fleury to open the scoring. DEVILS 1, PENS 0

5:19: Larsson shot a puck off the post and then Orpik covered the puck in the crease. There will be a penalty shot awarded to the Devils.

6:17: Tedenby gets a shot off from his knees that Fleury made an alert blocker save on.

7:43: Pens trap the Devils pinching in the zone to start a 3-on-2 the other way. Neal got a chance from the high slot, but Brodeur makes the save.

11:24: Pens back to full strength. Devils get a pair of quality scoring chances after the penalty expires, but Fleury is up to the task on both. Best chance was for Staal, who had a mini-breakaway, but was cut off by the Devils D.

13:24: Now Orpik is assessed a boarding penalty. Pens to the PK.

15:43: Orpik with a sneaky shot that squeaks through traffic and re-directed by Adams on net. Brodeur makes the save. Malkin gets a chance on the rebound, but Brodeur makes another save.

19:00: Engelland gets a stinger in the leg after blocking a Ilya Kovalchuk slapper. Looked to be a bit bothered by it. Hopefully, he's OK. (Headed to the locker room).

20:00: Puck drops. Game on. First period underway.
