The Pittsburgh Penguins, UPMC and the American Heart Association are teaming up to promote heart health on Tuesday, March 8 when the Penguins host the Buffalo Sabres at CONSOL Energy Center. All fans in attendance will receive an “I Heart the Penguins” t-shirt courtesy of UPMC and the American Heart Association.
Heart disease is the number one killer in America, but in most cases, it’s preventable. A heart screening can be an important step in uncovering a problem early when there is a good chance to treat it effectively.
As a proud sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, UPMC is providing free heart screenings as one way for women - and men - to learn their risk for heart disease.
Fans are invited to join UPMC for free heart screenings from March through May at a number of convenient locations throughout the region. UPMC health care professionals will be on-site at these events to provide screenings and answer questions. Pre-registration is not necessary.
For more information, visit the UPMC information table located near Section 110 during the game on March 8 or visit www.upmc.com/heartscreenings
