The Pittsburgh Penguins today announced that four of their pre-season games will be televised – three by ROOT SPORTS and one by PCNC.
ROOT SPORTS will carry all three home pre-season games – Wednesday, Sept. 21 vs. Detroit at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22 vs. Chicago at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 24 vs. Minnesota at 3 p.m. The game vs. Minnesota is the “Free Game for Kids,” where the Penguins will distribute 18,000 free tickets to area youth.
PCNC will televise the Sunday, Oct. 2 pre-season game at Detroit. Please note that game time is 5 p.m. (it had originally been scheduled at 4 p.m.).
Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey will call the action for all four televised pre-season games.
In addition, all six Penguins’ pre-season games will be carried on radio – on flagship station 105.9 The X, on Penguins HD radio and on pittsburghpenguins.com. Mike Lange will call the first two games and Steve Mears will handle the other four. Phil Bourque will provide analysis. The Penguins radio network will carry all but the Oct. 2 game.
