Four notes to take away from the Penguins' Friday morning practice. They are as follows:

A) Forward Maxime Talbot participated in practice for the first time in nearly a month. He had been working on his own but joined the team for their drills and bag skates this afternoon. Talbot, who has missed 10 of the team's last 11 games while battling a groin injury, feels that he is close to returning to the lineup.

B) Ruslan Fedotenko is not at practice. We will get an update from head coach Dan Bylsma on his status following practice.

C) Russian Olympians Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar are flying back today from Vancouver to Pittsburgh. The two are expected to rejoin their teammates Saturday.

D) The Penguins will not be on the ice Saturday, but will still hold meetings and conduct off-ice workout.
