Penguins Recall Pouliot

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Derrick Pouliot from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Pouliot, 21, has played in eight games with Pittsburgh this year, collecting three points (1G-2A) while going plus-1.

Pouliot ranks second in scoring on WBS this season with 23 points (7G-16A) in 28 AHL contests. His 16 assists lead the team.

Earlier this week, Pouliot represented the Eastern Conference at the AHL All-Star Classic, picking up one assist.

The Penguins host the Nashville Predators on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center on ROOT SPORTS.
