The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Steve MacIntyre from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound MacIntyre has played the entire season with WBS, collecting 70 penalty minutes in 29 games.
Last year the 32-year-old MacIntyre split the season between Pittsburgh and WBS. MacIntyre played 12 games with Pittsburgh, collecting six penalty minutes. He appeared in 24 contests with WBS, totaling one goal and 59 penalty minutes.
A native of Brock, Saskatchewan, MacIntyre has played 90 career NHL games for Pittsburgh, Edmonton and Florida, tallying two goals, two assists, four points and 163 penalty minutes.
