Penguins Recall Defenseman Brian Dumoulin

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Brian Dumoulin from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Dumoulin, 23, has appeared in all 22 WBS games this season, tallying two goals and 10 points. His plus-16 is tied with teammate Taylor Chorney for the AHL lead.

The 6-foot-4, 208-pound Dumoulin made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh last season, collecting one assist and four penalty minutes in six games.

A native of Biddeford, Maine, Dumoulin has 55 points (13G-32A) and is plus-7 in 147 career AHL games with WBS. He has added 20 points (5G-15A) in 32 AHL postseason contests.
