Penguins Recall Conklin

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled goaltender Ty Conklin from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) on an emergency basis, it was announced Friday by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero. 

Conklin, 31, is tied for the American Hockey League lead with 11 wins, is sixth with a 2.21 goals against average and seventh with a .919 save percentage.

The native of Anchorage, AK, has a career National Hockey League record or 30-24-4 with a 2.65 goals against average in 76 games with the Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres.  He was signed by Pittsburgh as a free agent on July 19, 2007.
