6:48: Great stuff from Ryan Craig. Simmonds and Letang were jawing and getting physical. Craig came to his teammate's aid and dropped the gloves with Simmonds. They both get 5 for fighting.

6:30: Great effort from Dustin Jeffrey on the PK. He skated hard for a dumped puck, hounded the puck carrier all the way up the ice, forced a turnover on the backcheck and cleared the zone. Props to Jeffrey on that kill.

6:45 PM: Welcome to CONSOL Energy Center. In a few minutes the puck will drop between the Pens and Kings. There was a lot of big news that came out today regarding Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Chris Kunitz, etc. Read it all in the Penguins Report. For more on Crosby, read my article from earlier today.

Speaking of the Penguins Report, I feel like I need to keep the tradition going of opening the blog with a song, and sticking with the Cali theme. A personal favorite of mine since I was a little wittle guy, is "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & The Papas. Even on a winter's day, all the leaves are brown and the sky is gray.

Runner-Up: "California Love" by 2Pac and Dr. Dre. Click here for the video. In case you were wondering, California still knows how to party in the year 2095. They keep it rockin'. "Can you dig it!?"
