F Erik Manetta, Serra Catholic, tallied most points, goals and assists in the PIHL with 77 on 40 goals and 37 assists.

F Jake Robash, Mars, second in Class A scoring with 37 goals and 31 assists for 68 points.

Class AAA

Shaler 6, Bethel Park 2


Shane and Dalton Shiring combined for a goals and four assists to help Shaler defeat Bethel Park in the second round of the Penguins Cup Playoffs. Shane tallied a goal and two assists and Dalton chipped in with two assists for the Titans.

Bill Dobson had a game-high four points with one goal and three assists for the Titans. Brian Stein, Zac Lynch, Sean McCue and Tom Mooney also scored for Shaler.

Michael Shipley and Tom Whetsel scored for the Blackhawks.

Mt. Lebanon 3, Pine-Richland 0

Mt. Lebanon goaltender Travis Lisowski stopped all 33 shots he faced to shutout Pine-Richland and help the Blue Devils upset the second-ranked Rams, 3-0, in the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Mt. Lebanon jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on two goals from James Greeno and one goal by Brooks Behling. Brandon Bianco chipped in two assists.

Rams netminder Dan Sztmanski made 29 saves.


Class AA

Greater Latrobe 9, Moon 1

Ryan LaDuke scored two goals and added an assist and eight different players scored for Greater Latrobe as the Wildcats pulled of an impressive 9-1 victory over Moon in the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Also scoring for Latrobe were Jayson Angus, Jeffjoe Regula, Andrew Ong, Neal Henderson, Tyler Ridder, Tyler Baloh and Tom Ridge.

Chris Wagner scored the lone Moon goal.

Franklin Regional 5, Meadville 4

Franklin Regional scored four third-period goals , including the game-winner with 1:58 left in regulation, to upset No. 2 Meadville in the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Steve Shirk scored two of the Panthers' third-period goals (both with under five minutes left) to tie the game at 4-4, and then setup the winning score for Patrick Coyne. Pete Ellis and Mike Adams also scored for No. 8 Franklin Regional.

Meadville goal scorers were Zach Bergardos, Jarrad Killburn, Chip Ray and Clayton Stockon.

Bishop Canevin 3, West Allegheny 2 OT

Matt Lison scored 7:04 into overtime to lift Bishop Canevin over West Allegheny with a 3-2 win in the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Lison finished the game with two goals, also netting the opening score, and Giovanni Facchiano tallied one goal for the Crusaders.

Tyler Fitzgerald tallied two points (1G-1A) and J.Taylor Carlisle chipped in a goal for Indians.


Class A

Serra Catholic 6, Freeport 2

Erik Manetta scored two goals and added two assists for a four-point night to help Serra Catholic advance through the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Patrick Lafrankie tallied three points on two goals and an assist for the Eagles, while Jacob Allan and Jay Leppo also scored.

Neal Decroo and Shane Galligher netted goals for Freeport.

Quaker Valley 4, Hampton 2

Colin South (2G-1A) and Alex Jackson (1G-2A) each tallied three-point games for Quaker Valley to help the Quakers defeat Hampton, 4-2, and advance in the second round of the Penguins Cup Series.

Kevin Kenny also scored for Quaker Valley. Jayson Lottes, Aleksi Anonen, Ben Moidell and Scott Pulkowski picked up assists.

Alex Mueller (1G-1A) and Alex Jackson (2A) each tallied two points for Hampton. Adam Selvaggio scored the other Talbots' goal. 

Mars 6, Westmont Hilltop 3

Jake Robash exploded for five points on two goals and three assists for Mars to help the Planets advance into the third round of the Penguins Cup Series with a 6-3 victory over Westmont Hilltop.

Steven Tracy added a goal and an assist while Andrew Santa, Elliot Tisdale and Derek Sitterly also scored goals for Mars.

David McKolosky notched a goal and assist, and Andy Herbert and Corey Schafer also scored.

Bishop McCort 4, Knoch 0

Todd Thomas broke out with a natural hat trick and an assist for four points to help Bishop McCort advance to the Semi Final round of the Penguins Cup Series with a 4-0 victory over Knock.

Thomas assisted on the team's first goal and then scored the game's next three. Kurtis Straw netted the remaining goal for Bishop McCorth while Matt Holtz, Ian Keith, Kurtis Straw and Marc Purazo chipped in with assists.

Knock goaltender Ryan Naples made 27 saves in the game.
