Jim Carrey Wears a Sidney Crosby Jersey in "Mr. Popper's Penguins"

by Michelle Crechiolo / Pittsburgh Penguins
Jim Carrey grew up in the hockey-crazed country of Canada, so it’s quite fitting that he wears the jersey of Penguins captain and Canadian Olympic hero Sidney Crosby in his newest movie.

In the aptly named Mr. Popper’s Penguins (presented by Twentieth Century Fox) Carrey plays Mr. Popper, a businessman whose life begins to change after he inherits six penguins.

In the film, which opens Friday, Popper’s career begins to unravel after he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland – which is where he proudly rocks the Crosby sweater while playing hockey in his living room.
