HERSHEY SWEEPS BABY PENGUINS OUT OF PLAYOFFS WITH 1-0 WIN

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s season is officially over.

The Hershey Bears shut out the Baby Penguins, 1-0, Tuesday night to sweep their AHL East Division Final series, 4-0.

Brooks Laich scored the lone goal of the evening. He tallied on the power play 14:59 into the game off Boyd Kane and Eric Fehr assists.

Once again, the Bears held a shooting advantage, 34-27. They dominated shooting in all four games of the series.

Dany Sabourin took the loss in goal. He stopped 33 of 34 shots. Frederic Cassivi earned the win as he turned aside all 27 shots he faced.
