Harrington Recalled by Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Scott Harrington from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Harrington, 21, has played in six NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, including his NHL debut Dec. 18 against Colorado.

Harrington has appeared in 23 AHL games with WBS, collecting six assists and posting a plus-4.

The Penguins play the New York Islanders tonight at 7 p.m. on ROOT SPORTS in a battle for first place in the Metropolitan Division.
