Claim to Fame: Nick’s father Paul played 73 games in the North American Soccer League from 1976 to 1982. Though he scored zero goals in his NASL career, the Italian native recorded 4 goals for the Calgary Boomers indoor soccer team in 1980-81.

2012-13 Season: Serving as one of Cornell’s three captains in his senior season, D’Agostino collected six goals (three on the power play) and 11 assists. D’Agostino appeared in all 35 of the Big Red’s games.

Numbers Never Lie: D’Agostino was a durable presence on Cornell’s blue line, as he missed only five regular-season games over his college career. He was also a power play dynamo, leading the Big Red by scoring six power-play goals in 2011-12 out of his eight total.

D’Agostino on improvements he is looking to make: “I went into college really wanting to work on the defensive game. I thought that came along. I’ve always been pretty decent offensively, good skater, good puck mover. Just being a pro here every single day, making your game very, very detail-oriented.”
