Fans Can Watch Pens’ Playoff Games On ‘Big Screen’ Outside CONSOL Energy Center

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
Another Pittsburgh playoff tradition returns Wednesday when fans can watch the Penguins’ playoff opener o n the Big Screen outside CONSOL Energy Center.

The popular screen has been part of Penguins’ playoff hockey since 2008, and it gives fans who don’t have tickets a chance to come together and experience the playoff atmosphere while watching the games for free.

The 16’ x 9’ high-resolution LED video board will be set up in the parking lot of the Epiphany Catholic Church adjacent to Washington Place and positioned toward Fifth Avenue. Fans may gather on the CONSOL Energy Center lawn near Washington Place and the American Eagle plaza.

All Penguins’ playoff games – home and road – will be shown on the screen, thanks to the cooperation and support of local TV rightsholder ROOT SPORTS and national rightsholder NBC Sports.

For safety reasons, grills and alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.
