Dave Soltesz, a senior executive for the Pittsburgh Penguins for the past 14 years, has been named president of the new Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
In his new role, Soltesz will organize and oversee the Foundation’s commitment to the youth of the Pittsburgh region -- through its efforts to promote physical well-being, encourage teamwork, emphasize education and provide essential life skills through youth hockey and other activities.
“I am extremely honored that I’ve been asked to develop the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation as a way to emphasize and advance our organization’s focus on youth,” Soltesz said. “This is an exciting time to be a part of the Penguins organization and I’ve promised our ownership and senior management that we will create a premier foundation for charitable efforts and community outreach.”
Soltesz joined the Penguins in 1996 as Vice President of Corporate Sales, served as VP of Sales and Marketing and most recently was Senior VP of Sales.
