Crosby Practices For First Time

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

Sidney Crosby joined his teammates for practice Friday for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain Jan. 18 but said he is “definitely not ready” to return to the lineup.

Crosby has been skating on his own for several days and was on the ice for the Penguins’ full workout Friday at Mellon Arena. He wore a special yellow jersey that distinguished him from his teammates, who were wearing white and black.

There is no updated timetable for his return.

“Wishful thinking would probably be a couple of weeks, but I don’t know,” Crosby said.
