On Thursday, March 17, 2011, the Pittsburgh Penguins organization held its signature event, the Skates & Plates Charity Gala presented by Trib Total Media, at CONSOL Energy Center. The event benefited the Penguins Foundation, Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Mario Lemieux Foundation and featured Penguins players donning tuxedos and serving as waiters for the evening!
Penguins’ players signed individual aprons commemorating the event, plus a team signed apron and an apron autographed by the Penguins’ coaching staff. Fans that were not able attend the annual charity gala now have an opportunity to bid on these unique prizes by clicking here
The apron auction will until noon on Friday, April 1. Once the auction concludes and the winning bids have been processed through Pay Pal by the NHL, the items will begin shipping within two (2) business days via UPS Ground.
Please take a moment to review your bid amount before submitting. Any errors in the bid amount or payment information are the responsibility of the bidder. Pay Pal and the National Hockey League consider any bid submit to be binding. Please note that you do not need a Pay Pal account to bid on an auction item, but you will be prompted to enter your credit card information before you are declared the winning bidder.
Thank you and happy bidding!RELATED ARTICLE: Pens Trade Pucks for Plates at Annual Charity Gala >RELATED GALLERY: 2011 Skate and Plates Charity Gala presented by Trib Total Media >
