2011 Penguins Booster Club Holiday Ornament Auction

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
During November and December home games, the Pittsburgh Penguins Booster Club sold charity holiday ornaments for the benefit of the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. The ornaments were handcrafted by artisans at Wendell August Forge, tied with a festive red ribbon and nestled in a custom box.

A limited number of bronze and copper ornaments were created and numbered. The ornament sets available for auction are cast in bronze or copper with an autograph on the back of your favorite Penguins player, coach, or Penguins great - Mario Lemieux. These beautiful ornaments would be the perfect gift for any Penguins fan!

Proceeds from the sale of the charity ornament sets will benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh, an organization in the Pittsburgh area dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by autism. The society uses funds to increase public awareness about the disease, to help those with the disease find appropriate care, and to provide the most recent information regarding treatment, education and research about the disease to the local community.

The auction will run from Monday, December 12 until noon on Tuesday, December 20. Once the auction concludes and purchasers have been processed through PayPal by the NHL, the items will begin shipping within two (2) business days via UPS Ground.

Please take a moment to review your bid amount before submitting. Any errors in the amount are the responsibility of the bidder and any bid submitted is considered binding by PayPal and the National Hockey League. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account to bid on an auction item, but you will be prompted to enter your credit card information before you are declared the winning bidder.
