The Florida Panthers will hold a Celebration of Hockey at Artwalk at the Flagler Arts and Technology Village in Ft. Lauderdale, following the conclusion of the NHL Draft in Sunrise on Saturday, June 27 from 6-11 P.M. Fans and out-of-town visitors for the draft are encouraged to attend and become part of this unique hockey experience.
What is Artwalk?
Flagler Arts and Technology Village (FATVillage) is Ft. Lauderdale’s ever growing arts community located downtown in Flagler Village. Home to local artists and creative businesses, FATVillage aims to connect the city to the emerging culture of grassroots inspired creatives, musicians, painters, sculptors, musicians, designers, urban land planners, photographers and young professionals.
What is Celebration of Hockey?
Celebration of Hockey will showcase the history of hockey and the Florida Panthers over the years with multi-platform hockey-focused art pieces ranging from graffiti art to video immersion. A water fashion show will also be held featuring top designers and Florida Panthers merchandise.
What and who will be there?
Artwalk will offer food trucks, music and a cash bar. Proceeds from the cash bar will benefit FAT Village.
Florida Panthers D Aaron Ekblad and F Jonathan Huberdeau will be attending the event along with front office staff and personalities including voice of the Panthers radio broadcast, Randy Moller.
How can I get there?
Transportation for out-of-town visitors staying at the Westin Resort and Spa and Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, will be arranged. A shuttle bus will run every 35 minutes from these resorts to Artwalk. Shuttle service begins at 6 P.M. and ends at 11 P.M. Visitors staying at neighboring hotels are welcome to wait at the designated shuttle stops.
Where’s the closest parking garage?
The closest parking garages are: City Hall Garage (100 N. Andrews Ave; Entrance on NE 1 St or NE 2 St W. of Andrews) which is a six minute walk to FATVillage, City Park Garage (150 SE 2 St; Entrance on SE 2 Ave) and the Arts and Science District Garage (101 SW 5 Ave; Entrance on SW 5 Ave) which are 15 minute walking distance to Artwalk.
There will be a shuttle bus transporting fans to Artwalk. The shuttle stop and times will be determined at a later time.
