Well, as you can imagine, it's been a difficult day. The reality has set in that tomorrow is our last home game until September. Our staff was a bit down but they are very resilient. They understand that when you look at the big picture, our organization has taken another big step in the right direction.
I am now leaving Delray Beach with my wife Dana and daughter Sophia. We just attended shabbat services on the beach. Temple b'nai Israel has made it a tradition to host shabbat services during Passover by the water. It was really special.
As I was looking out into the ocean, I started to reflect for a moment on our season. Yes, we did not make the playoffs but we did make progress and demonstrate that we now have the foundation for success. Some times it takes a bit longer to achieve certain goals that you set but once you do achieve them, the feeling will be great!
Fans, during this holiday weekend, we all have much to be thankful for and I was reminded of that while sitting with my family beachside.
Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you at our game against the Capitals tomorrow.
