SSE Unveils Project Unite Initiative

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that it welcomed over 50 local companies to the BankAtlantic Center as part of Project Unite, a new initiative designed to gain the support of local business leaders in SSE’s overall effort to continue to raise the profile and notoriety of the South Florida community.

Tonight’s Project Unite event was hosted in conjunction with the City of Sunrise with future events scheduled with the cities of Weston, Coral Springs, Boca Raton, and more. The event was held inside the BankAtlantic Center’s Chairman’s Club, prior to the Panthers-Capitals game, with a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and remarks from SSE president & COO Michael Yormark, Sunrise Mayor Roger Wishner, and SSE Co-Managing Partners Cliff Viner and Stu Siegel.

“Project Unite is a unique program designed to bring together SSE, the City of Sunrise commission, and city business leaders, to work toward one common goal,” Yormark said. “The turnout and feedback we received tonight was absolutely tremendous, and we are looking forward to similarly successful events with other South Florida communities in the very near future.”

“As we have made clear in our ‘Contract With The Community’, we are committed to being a good business partner and corporate citizen to the entire South Florida community,” Viner and Siegel said. “The response we received from the City of Sunrise officials and community leaders that were in the BankAtlantic Center tonight only made us more confident that Project Unite is a worthwhile undertaking that can help us take this organization and its surrounding community to even greater heights of success.”
