Post-Game Comments vs. Minnesota

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
Head Coach Jacques Martin:

Think now of the comeback, it's three to two, then you take that slashing penalty. Is it one of those nights for you...

"I thought we worked hard, and their second goal should have been an icing. It was waved off. And then the slashing penalty. I don't know, you should look at it and see. I thought we worked hard, we deserved a better fate."

This has been a tough road trip. You get one point out of four. Are you disappointed on how things went...

"It's disappointing, but I thought we had a good effort. You look at the number of players we have out. We're missing Stumpel (Jozef), we're missing Kolnik (Juraj), we're missing Bertuzzi (Todd), that's a lot of scoring. The guys who played, played hard, and I think there's some calls that hurt us."

Captain Olli Jokinen:

How big was it that you couldn't get one of those in...

"It was a good start obviously, sometimes your going to score. And we took a penalty over there, the last six or seven minutes of the first. We played pretty hard in the second too. With two chances on the power play, we scored a couple of goals. They got a third one, we lost two on the powerplay. I think that was the difference right there, specialty teams. Five on five, we were pretty solid."

Are rebound goals especially frustrating...

"Yeah, the goalie, you ask him to save the first shot, after that he pops it out, and you try to take the sticks away. It happens sometimes, but it's... you've got some traffic and firing. In this league you can score, and I think the first couple goals were an example."
