SUNRISE, FLA. – The Florida Panthers announced recently that their annual Draft Day Party will be held tonight at Carolina Ale House in Weston. The draft party will be open to the public. The draft will be televised live beginning at 6 p.m. from Vancouver, BC with the Panthers owning the rights to the tenth overall selection.
"The Draft Party is a great event that our fans look forward to every year," said Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark. "We have planned an evening of fantastic entertainment and look forward to seeing all of our fans at the Carolina Ale House on June 24."
Panthers radio voice Steve Goldstein will host this year's event and 560 WQAM will do a live broadcast from the Carolina Ale House. Stanley C. Panther, various Panthers players and alumni will also be on hand at the Draft Party.
Fans will have the chance to win various Panthers raffle prizes as well as bid on several items in a silent auction to benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation. Items in the silent auction include select autographed game-used sticks, autographed player prints and other select items. Drinks, food, interactive games, the Panthers prize wheel and special raffles will be available for everyone's enjoyment.
