SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today the results of the blood drive held throughout the month of January at all Panthers home games. In observance of National Blood Donor Month, the Florida Panthers teamed up once again with the Community Blood Centers of South Florida and hosted collections throughout the month.
The partnership, now in its third year of existence, yielded the highest results ever seen. During the January 16 game that featured the Panthers hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning, fans outside the BankAtlantic Center donated 40 pints of blood, a new benchmark for the Panthers collection efforts.
During the month, the Florida Panthers also unveiled a new loyalty program which, subject to availability, will provide repeat donors with tickets to upcoming Florida Panthers home games during the months of March and April.
