SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers TV analyst Bill Lindsay and his wife Kari, along with more than a dozen other Sunrise Sports & Entertainment employees volunteered their time when they took part in the BankAtlantic Foundation’s Habitat for Humanity of Broward County Build Day on Friday, May 7.
“Friday’s Habitat for Humanity Build Day provided our staff with a great opportunity to donate their time to a worthwhile cause,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “This marked the first of many events that our executives, staff and players will be proud to participate in this year, as we continue to fulfill our commitment to the South Florida community.”
Earlier this week, SSE and the Florida Panthers announced that its full time staff members will donate over 1,500 hours of community service each year as part of a new, unprecedented internal commitment to the South Florida community. Each full time staff member – including team owners, Panthers players, incredible ICE employees, and new hires - will donate at least 10 hours of community service, with executives donating at least 20 hours each year.
Local charities looking for support are encouraged to contact the Panthers community relations department at PerryD@sselive.com
