Panthers Roster Set for Opening Night

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers general manager and head coach Jacques Martin announced today that the club has made its final roster move of the preseason. The Cats have assigned G Craig Anderson to the Rochester Americans (AHL). The team also announced that LW Ville Peltonen has been placed on injured reserve. The Panthers will open the regular season with 22 players on their active roster and one player on injured reserve.
Anderson, 25, played in two preseason games for the Cats, with a 2.67 GAA in 90 minutes of action. The Park Ridge, Ill. Native appeared in 29 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks posting a 6-12-4 record with a 3.32 GAA.
The Panthers open the 2006-07 campaign Friday night when they take on the Boston Bruins at 7:30 in the BankAtlantic Center. Less than 1,500 tickets remain for Opening Night and can be purchased by calling 954-835-PUCK.
