After playing three games in four days, in three different cities, Florida did not hold an on-ice practice on Sunday. The team participated in a workout at their Long Island hotel instead.

The Panthers will play their fourth game in six nights - part of a stretch that sees Florida play 13 games in 22 days prior to the Christmas holiday - when they face-off against the New York Islanders on Monday (7 p.m).

The Cats have posted a 1-1-1 mark on the current road trip, which has seen the club play games without the services of David Booth, Cory Stillman, Kenndal McArdle, Gregory Campbell, Nick Tarnasky and most recently Dominic Moore, who was injured in the Panthers 4-2 win over New Jersey on Dec. 11.

With his assist on Saturday night against Pittsburgh, Nathan Horton tied Rob Niedermayer for fifth all-time on the Panthers career scoring list with 266 points. Stephen Weiss (162) sits four assists shy of surpassing Niedermayer (165) for fifth all-time on the Panthers career assists list.
