Cats-Sharks Game Will Feature Entertaining Halloween Events

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the Florida Panthers announced that the Panthers-Sharks game on Halloween Night (Oct. 31) will be 'Scaredy Cat Night' presented by ADT at the BankAtlantic Center.

With a host of festivities including games, giveaways and trick or treating, the BankAtlantic Center will be "the safest place to be this Halloween." Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Spirit Airlines Funway.

"Quite frankly, there's no better place to be this Halloween than at the BankAtlantic Center," SSE chief operating officer Michael Yormark said. "The high level of safety at the BankAtlantic Center makes it convenient for parents and the wonderful schedule of activities we have planned will make the night memorable for children. I urge everyone to grab their costume and come see a Panthers game on Halloween."

Some of the special festivities include:

The first 5,000 kids receive a Panthers 'Trick or Treat' bag.

Fans will be able to 'Trick or Treat' at different sponsor tables throughout the arena during the game.

Appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog.

Sunrise Police and Fire Departments will be on hand to speak with parents and children about how to be safe over the upcoming holiday season.

The Panthers Ice Dancers by Sziro Jewelry will also be on hand in special costumes for the evening. The Ice Dancers will help distribute give-a-ways, assist with intermission activities and be on hand at player autograph sessions outside of section 109 and 112 during intermissions. The Dancers will also perform periodically on the Sziro Jewelry Stage, located inside the lower bowl at section 109.

A child fingerprinting station will be set up on the Spirit Airlines Funway for parents to get their child registered for this valuable service.

The MetroPCS Stage will host a costume contest. Children can dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes, while the winner will receive a "Panthers Scaredy Cat" Prize Pack.
