Panthers Eclipse 10,000 Season Tickets For 2010-11 Season
/ Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the Florida Panthers have eclipsed 10,000 season ticket holders (full season equivalents) for the 2010-11 NHL season. With Opening Night Oct. 16 just days away, this marks the first time the Panthers have reached the 10,000 season ticket holder mark since the 2000-01 season.
“During the offseason we set a goal of reaching the benchmark of 10,000 season ticket holders for the first time in almost a decade,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “Thanks to the hard work of our staff and the support of the South Florida community, we accomplished that goal. In addition, with our more intimate seating capacity and the anticipation for Saturday’s home opener vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning, less than 1,500 tickets remain for Opening Night 2010.”
The Panthers enjoyed one of their most successful offseasons in history with the naming of Cliff Viner as sole General Partner, the hiring of new General Manager Dale Tallon, an incredible 2010 NHL Entry Draft in Los Angeles, new hockey operations staff such as former Panthers Brian Skrudland, Mike Santos and Gord Murphy, a series of unique and successful ticket promotions, and the introduction of the dynamic pricing structure on single game tickets and a more intimate seating capacity of 17,040 at the BankAtlantic Center.
