Not content to stay the course with a lineup that has been among the best in the WHL this season, the Vancouver Giants pulled of a blockbuster trade with the Moose Jaw Warriors that will only help the team when it plays host to the Memorial Cup tournament this spring.
The deal netted Vancouver prized forward Kenndal McArdle, while the Warriors landed 18-year-old forward Jason Reese and a second-round pick in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft.
McArdle is a highly decorated junior-aged player who will add big-game experience to an already potent Vancouver attack. A six-foot, 205-pound left wing from Burnaby, B.C., McArdle was a first-round selection of the Florida Panthers in last year's NHL Entry Draft.
