New this season, Panthers Ice Dancer Kelli will be sharing her thoughts on this upcoming season from what's going on with the dancers (including the try out proccess), to what's going on and off the ice, as well as anything else that she cares to discuss.
Kelli is trying out once again this year to become an Ice Dancer for her third season. The Fort Lauderdale native is also currently working towards earning her broadcast journalism degree.
These past couple weeks have been pretty busy. Early morning radio shows with even earlier wake up times…meeting new fans and greeting new clients. Welcoming prospective ice dancers from the prep classes, learning new fitness tips and dominating the hula-hoop!
Desi and I stopped in to 790 The Ticket to chat with Goldie (such a cutie!) and The DA Show on Sportsradio 560 WQAM (he had us cracking up the whole time) to promote audition prep classes and the upcoming auditions on August 2nd. I can’t believe auditions are right around the corner! AHHH! It feels like the season just ended and already a new one is about to begin! I’m already getting nervous for the final audition at the Sawgrass Mills Mall on the 9th. I still have to find something to wear and come up with my solo routine! Our Interview On 790 The Ticket
The prep classes have been exciting to watch. The girls have incredible talent so I’m eager for auditions and a fresh new season to start. (Although, I really am dreading boot camp!) The prep classes are definitely worth the time… it’s a sneak peek at the audition process and it will certainly give you an advantage over the competition. After the ladies have learned the choreography, we usually have a sit down where the girls get to speak with the directors and also receive quick tips on hair, makeup, and apparel for the actual auditions.
Right before the first prep class, Desi, Jessica, Angela, and I dropped in for the Association of Luxury Suite Directors National Meeting. We got to mingle with the new potential suite holders, take pictures, sign autographs and meet Playboy Bunny Kimberly Holland. A photographer was on hand to take pictures of fans in front of the Zamboni… you know the girls and I had to jump in on the action.
Stanley getting frisky… and apparently, I thought it was funny.
Nichole and Jessica came out to participate in the festivities that took place at the BankAtlantic Center to celebrate the Fourth of July. In case you’re wondering why Jessica looks like she slicked her hair back with gel, it’s actually just soaking wet! Somehow Nichole’s hair seemed to stay perfect.
The girls ended up getting completely drenched from the rain, but still it was a good time!

Andrea and I stopped in at Max Muscle in Sunrise for an appearance last week. We got to mingle with Panther fans and fitness models. We even got the chance to meet a few competitive body builders (OH-LA-LA!), take pictures and sign autographs. They had a big tent set up with samples of protein shakes, power bars, fitness magazine and etc. The event was a big hit and a lot of fun.
Allie and I made an appearance at America’s Backyard in downtown Fort Lauderdale a couple Saturday's ago. We gathered a team of people to compete in the limbo and hula-hoop contest, but somehow Allie and I became a part of the hula-hoop competition. Needless to say, we conquered!! Later in the night we handed out Corey Stillman signed Panther hats, pucks, bobble heads, and hockey sticks to the winners.
