In the Pipeline: Memorial Cup Continues

Two Florida Panthers prospects enter the second week of Memorial Cup play.

D Josh Brown – Oshawa Generals

The Generals have gotten off to a 2-0 start in their first two games of the Memorial Cup Tournament and currently sit in first place.

The Generals topped Rimouski Oceanic 4-3 in their first game (May 23) before topping the Quebec Remparts 5-4 on May 24. Brown has registered two penalty minutes in two games.

Oshawa is set to take on the Kelowna Rockets (WHL Champions) tonight at 7:30 PM (ET).

Kelowna owns a 1-1-0 record in two games and has recorded a Tournament-leading 10 goals for. Both the Rockets and Generals lead the Tournament for the least amount of goals allowed (7).

Sun – May 24 – Quebec 4 at Oshawa 5 [OT]

Tue – May 26 – Oshawa at Kelowna – 7:30 PM [ET]

F Chris Clapperton – Rimouski Oceanic

Rimouski owns a 0-2-0 record to start the Tournament after most recently suffering a 7-3 loss to Kelowna on May 25. Clapperton recorded a goal in the game, his second point of the tournament (1-1—2).

The Oceanic will play their next game against familiar foes. After defeating Quebec in the QMJHL Championship Series, the two teams will lock up again on May 27 at 7:30 PM (ET).
