Florida Panthers Recall Garrett Wilson from Portland (AHL)

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that forward Garrett Wilson has been recalled from the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Portland Pirates.

The 24-year old Wilson has played in six games with Florida this season recording a plus-one rating. The 6-foot-2, 199-pound native of Elmvale, Ontario, has played in 37 games with Portland this season recording 20 points (7-13-20).

Wilson was selected by Florida in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.

Additionally, the Panthers announced that defenseman Erik Gudbranson has been placed on injured reserve.

The Panthers visit the Buffalo Sabres tonight (7:00 p.m.), before returning to the BB&T Center to begin a six-game homestand vs. St. Louis on Friday, Feb. 12 (7:30 p.m.). For ticket information call (954) 835-PUCK (7825) or visit
