Florida Panthers Recall D Alex Petrovic

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Alex Petrovic from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Petrovic, 22, has played in 39 games for the Rampage this season and ranks first among San Antonio defensemen with 19 points (3-16—19). He recently represented the Rampage at the 2015 American Hockey League All-Star game in Utica, New York, recording two assists for the Western Conference.

The Edmonton, Alberta, native has appeared in 13 National Hockey League games (2012-2014), all with Florida, recording one assist.

Florida closes out a five-game homestand against Columbus on Jan. 29 at BB&T Center at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on Fox Sports Florida and heard on 560 WQAM.
