Florida Panthers IceDen Awarded Fritz Dietl National Award

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla – The Professional Skating Association (PSA) has announced that the Florida Panthers IceDen have been named the winner of the Fritz Dietl National Award for Ice Arena Excellence for 2015-2016.

The Award honors the lifetime dedication of Fritz Dietl to the skating industry and his innovation and excellence in facility management operations and programming. The Award recognizes excellence in all areas of the facility with an emphasis on figure skating and is given annually at the PSA Annual Conference held in Minneapolis, Minn. It

“We are excited and pleased to accept this award from the Professional Skating Association,” said Florida Panthers IceDen Director of Skating Development Nancy Mariani. “This award is the ultimate achievement for ice arena excellence and we’ve worked hard to prove that we solidified what this award represents state and nationwide.”

This past year, four 2015 US National Medalists, Sophia Chouinard, Andrew Togashev, Haven Denney and Brandon Fraizer, utilized the Florida Panthers IceDen facilities for their training, practice and competitions. The Florida Panthers IceDen offers figure skating, public skating sessions and all levels of hockey and curling. It also serves as the home practice facility for the Florida Panthers.
