Over 450 Guests Attended Inaugural Event presented by AvMed Health Plans
SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers Foundation raised over $50,000 at the Inaugural Face-Off Luncheon presented by AvMed Health Plans on Monday afternoon. Over 450 guests attended the sold-out event, which was held at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton from 11:30 am – 1 pm. The Face-Off Luncheon was additionally sponsored by IKEA, the Boca Raton Observer, Fidelity Investments, Dr. Steven Gelbard, M.D., P.A. and Sziro Jewelry.
The Luncheon featured a speech from General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin outlining the upcoming season and his expectations for the 2007-08 Florida Panthers. The entire 2007-08 Florida Panthers team was in attendance and was introduced before taking their seats at this sold-out event. The 450 guests in attendance enjoyed a gourmet lunch while one member of the Florida Panthers sat at each table to dine with guests.
“I know I can speak for our entire team when I say we were honored to participate in the Face-Off Luncheon,” Martin said. “It was a great opportunity for us to get in front of some of our most dedicated fans before Opening Night, while also helping to support a worthwhile cause.”
“AvMed Health Plans is proud to partner with the Florida Panthers and get the opportunity to support the good work of the Panthers foundation,” said Jim Repp, Corporate Head of Sales for AvMed. “The Luncheon was a great opportunity for fans to interact with the players.”
The event featured an outstanding silent auction and raffle as well as a special raffle for a men’s Concord watch provided by Sziro Jewelry.
“I am proud to announce that the Florida Panthers Foundation raised over $50,000 at the Inaugural Face-Off Luncheon presented by AvMed Health Plans,” said Executive Director Alaina Miller. “The Face-Off Luncheon was a remarkable success and I would like to thank the entire Florida Panthers team for their support of this event. Additionally, I would like to thank Woodfield Country Club for hosting this event as well as all of our sponsors and fans for their support.
