Sunrise, Fla. – The Florida Panthers Foundation announced today that Panthers goalies Scott Clemmensen
and Tomas Vokoun have raised more than $2,000 thus far this season as part of their Saves For Kids Program. The Saves For Kids Program features both Clemmensen and Vokoun donating $1 for every total save made this season to benefit the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The first $2,000 raised by the Saves For Kids Program will provide financial support to 12-year-old cancer patient Alex Mendez and his family. Alex attended the Florida Panthers game on Jan. 18 to accept a check and autographed goalie jersey from Florida Panthers Foundation Executive Director Rachel Brooke and Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation founder Sandra Muvdi.
