Cats Agree To Terms With D Franklin MacDonald, C David Brine and RW Adam Taylor

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers general manager and head coach Jacques Martin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with D Franklin MacDonald, C David Brine and RW Adam Taylor on entry level contracts. MacDonald will participate in the Panthers training camp while Brine and Taylor will report directly to the Rochester Americans.

MacDonald, 21, and Brine, 21, each spent the past three seasons playing for Halifax (QMJHL). MacDonald posted career highs last season in goals (12), assists (33), points (45) and PIM (129). The Sydney, Nova Scotia native had 21 goals and 52 assists in three seasons with Halifax.

Brine posted career highs last season in goals (34), assists (66), points (100), and PIM (80) in 70 games played. The Truro, Nova Scotia native also played in nine playoff games for Manitoba (AHL) last season scoring one assist and two PIM.

Taylor, 22, played in 72 games for Victoria (ECHL) last season posting career highs in assists (38) and points (57). The Courtenay, British Columbia native also spend seven games with British Columbia (CIS) last season posting four goals and four assists.

"We are pleased to add three more solid prospects to our organization," said Martin. "Each of them had a good rookie camp last week and I look forward to following their progress this season."
