SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the JetBlue Tailfin, the centerpiece of JetBlue Airways’ Pillar Partnership with SSE, will be unveiled on the BankAtlantic Center’s JetBlue Tarmac in a ceremony prior to the Florida Panthers-Washington Capitals game on March 16.
The 22.5-foot high by 26-foot wide tailfin represents one of the most unique sponsorship elements in the sports and entertainment industry and is a first-of-its-kind structure for arena venues.
The Tailfin was constructed at an off-site South Florida location by fellow SSE partner Ad Graphics, transported to the BankAtlantic Center parking lot in pieces in early March, and will be built, wrapped and lifted in to place by crane in time for the March 16 unveiling.
The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. on the JetBlue Tarmac outside the BankAtlantic Center’s main doors and will feature representatives of both organizations including SSE President & COO Michael Yormark.

Featured elements of the partnership also include TrueBlue Nights at the BankAtlantic Center, a promotion that provides fans with the opportunity to receive a free ticket to a Panthers home game by wearing blue or signing up to become a TrueBlue member during the game on March 16, 2010 when the Panthers take on the Washington Capitals.
